Building Individual Resilience
Individual resilience is the ability to perform under pressure and recover.
It is also a skill set that can be developed.
This programme helps people understand what happens to them under pressure and develop practical ways to respond, recover and build resilience.
THE PROGRAMME

Understand the human condition
and build your own adaptive capacity
Pressure changes
how we think, feel and behave
Under pressure, our attention narrows, automatic responses become stronger and emotions intensify.
Memory, judgement and the way we interact with other people can all be affected.
Short bursts of stress can be useful. But when elevated stress continues without enough opportunity to recover, the effects accumulate and our capacity to cope begins to reduce.

The programme helps people recognise these patterns earlier and understand what they can do differently.
CONTEXT

Practical ways to strengthen individual resilience
The programme moves from understanding the stress response through recovery, decision-making, mindset and agency to practical ways of building resilience.
